Illumos Panel

A big thank you for Garrett D'Amore, Bryan Cantrill and Adam Leventhal for being the panelists!

• Illumos update: Garrett D'Amore
  Illumos pursing a conservancy similar to the samba project opposed to a 501.3c non-profit
  The advantages are: faster to setup, less logistical overhead, can have bounties on projects or key developers.

• Illumos panel: Garrett D'Amore, Bryan Cantrill and Adam Leventhal 

There are a number of projects active in Illumos community.
Illumos would like help with the website, email forums, for people to fix and file bugs.

Active work and interest going on larger illumos projects: KVM, zfs, DTrace and zones.
