New York {Open}Solaris User Group - NYCOSUG

The 7th New York {Open}Solaris Community User Group meeting.

The New York OpenSolaris User's Group (NYCOSUG) will be holding it's next monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 25th at the Sun offices in midtown, New York City.

You are cordially invited to take part in this event.

The featured topic will be a presentation on OpenSolaris x86-based virtualization technologies & xVM.

Jeff Savit - one of Sun's Principal Engineers and our esteemed colleague from Somerset, NJ will participate at our NY OpenSolaris user group event by presenting on the OpenSolaris xVM story, specifically with a focus on demo'ing some cross-platform Xen-centric bits, showcasing some of the work that the Xen community & Sun engineering have been working on over the last few years.

A few participants have inquired about having a conference bridge open during the event itself. It is a good idea.

Sun is located at 101 Park Avenue, northeast corner of East 40th street and Park Avenue. 2 blocks from the Grand Central Station and subway routes 4, 5, 6. Sun Microsystems, Inc. is located on the 3rd and 4th floors. For after-hours meetings, please sign-in with the security guard in the lobby and proceed to the right-most elevator bank. Upon arrival, check-in at the security desk. Due to the building's security requirements, it might be easier if you've registered prior to the day of the event. Proceed toward the right-most elevator banks, and take a lift up to the 4th floor.
