As previously announced, the New York {Open}Solaris Community User Group will be holding its June meeting on our regular last Thursday of the month on 6/25/2009

At this meeting we will celebrate our 2nd anniversary as a group.
We will have refreshments/beer/food at this meeting, so do come hungry! :)
I will update the group on the events from CommunityOne WEST that took place earlier this month, in San Francisco. We will also have OpenSolaris 2009.06 media to give away - this is the brand new OpenSolaris distribution that just came out this month!
And ...
We shall have a number of OpenSolaris kernel engineers in New York, joining us in person, to speak about projects that they're working on and delivering into the OpenSolaris ecosystem.
We will also have Sherry Moore, who has been working on the x86 Fast Reboot project - she'll cover that as well as a short-talk on the Power Aware scheduler work that has been done by Eric Saxe. Additionally, we will have Steve Lawrence from the Zones development team. And, just as excitingly, we shall have Dave Miner talk about the new installation updates (via the automated installer that's new in OpenSolaris).
