Charter

The Minnesota OpenSolaris User Group (MNOSUG) has been formed to connect people in the great state of Minnesota who are intersted in learning about OpenSolaris. Everyone is welcome, from those who are curious and want to do their first install to seasoned Solaris system administrators. The focus of this group will be to learn and share ideas about OpenSolaris and to have a good time while doing it. If you'e interested in joining the group, subscribe to our mailing list, contact a project leader or just show up at one of our upcoming events!

N'Compass, a local data center solutions provider and Sun Principle Partner, will be hosting our next meeting on November 12th.

We will be having a conference call with George Wilson, a ZFS kernel engineer on some of the upcoming features that we'll be seeing in ZFS, including de-duplication which was integrated into build 127 of OpenSolaris.

Free parking provided in the lot across the street from the SoHo Building.

Update:  N'Compass has posted the presentation from the September 24th meeting on their blog.
