Speaker Information

The Solaris SIG (LOSUG) is open to any community member to present at the meetings. If you would like to speak, please email us at solarissig@lists.ukoug.com.

Topics don't have to be technical, but they should have an OpenSolaris connection. Past topics can be found on the files page.

Meetings open at 18:00 and we start the talks at 18:30. Talks last for around an hour before we break for food. Speakers should plan some time into their talk for questions from the audience as well as any demos.

The venue is equipped with a projector system, connected via an HD-15 VGA cable. This runs at a native resolution of 1280x1024. 

We ask for a copy of any slides or other materials used in the talks so they can be posted on this site for the community to access after the meeting. This is not a hard requirement, but it's always nice. You can use any format you like to prepare the slides, but we do ask for a PDF copy.

We may also ask about making an audio recording of the meeting to share with the community as well. If this presents a problem, please let us know.

Notes for Oracle staff

Always use the Oracle corporate presentation template which includes the safe-harbour statement when delivering slides.
