We are pleased to announce IOSUG6 (Israeli OpenSolaris Users Group) meeting to take place on Wed, Feb 24th 2010, at Sun offices - Hamenofim 9 st., Herzeliya, Flour 8 (dining room).

• Project COMSTAR - Building a complete SAN/NAS storage box using OpenSolaris
  Project COMSTAR is a revolutionary software framework that enables you to turn any opensolaris into a scsi target provider.

We will explain and demonstrate -
   COMSTAR overview, advantages and benefits
   How to create and manage scsi targets
   How to publish a scsi target as a iscsi target
   How to publish a scsi target as a fcp target
   How to create and share nfs/cifs shares
   How to enable deduplication, encryption, compression etc...
