This month's main topic will be OpenSolaris Zones - one of a number of virtualisation technologies present in OpenSolaris.
Sean McGrath will present an introduction to Zones, explaining what they are, showing how to install and configure them, and will also show some of the impressive resource controls that can be applied to Zones.
Also a part of the OpenSolaris Zones story, we'll be demoing BrandZ - so if you're interested in seeing Linux userland running on an OpenSolaris kernel, then you should come along!
If you're looking at doing any kind of virtualisation of server
resources, then you should definitely come along.
Finally, we'll also run through a What's New, of things that have happened in the OpenSolaris community from August to September.
Look forward to seeing you there! (Oh, and Netsoc are providing free beer & pizza - more on their announcement page)
