Welcome!

This project aims to build awareness of OpenSolaris and other Sun technologies at Edinburgh University. Students and staff who subscribe to the mailing-list will receive notifications of Sun events taking place on campus, as well as get the chance to contribute to innovative open-source projects. Members can also use the list to share their ideas and experiences of Sun at Edinburgh and OpenSolaris.

2. Download and install OpenSolaris. Suitable for laptops and desktops, OpenSolaris is a rich unix OS that combines ease of use, good hardware compatibility, and groundbreaking features such as Zones, DTrace, and the ZFS filesystem.
