Charter
The Atlanta OpenSolaris User Group (ATLOSUG) has been established to connect members of the community interested in OpenSolaris and Solaris, and to grow the OpenSolaris community in the Atlanta area. All are welcome - developers, open-source contributors, system administrator, architects, and any other interested parties.
Meetings
ATLOSUG holds its meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Meetings rotate between several locations: Sun's office in Alpharetta, Matrix Resources near Perimeter Mall, and GCA Technology Services off Northridge Rd in Sandy Springs. Meetings run from 7:00 to 9:00PM, with networking and light refreshments beginning at 6:30PM.

Abstract: For the last several meetings, we have looked at storage technologies in OpenSolaris and storage platforms build on OpenSolaris. This month, we will look at a real-world deployment of an Oracle 11gR2 RAC database using OpenSolaris-based storage. This presentation and demonstration will be brought by Mike Sweeney, Systems Engineer and Oracle Ace with Sun Microsystems.
