OpenSolaris Web Stack Code in SFW
Please note this page describes how to view and access the OpenSolaris Web Stack code in the SFW consolidation.
There is Web Stack code in other location as well:
- Web Stack Project Repository (contributing)
- Sun Web Stack
Browsing the Code
You can browse the sfw code (including WebStack components) here: http://src.opensolaris.org/source/xref/sfw/usr/src/
Downloading the Code
The WebStack code is part of the SFW Consolidation. Please follow the instructions on the SFW downloads page to get a snapshot of the latest source tree.
Building the Code
Here is a link to the SFW build instructions page.
Obtaining Binaries
If you are looking for a binary distribution containing the components delivered by the Web Stack project you can download the latest SXDE. Note that SXDE is a quarterly build so the bits in it will lag the above sources.
Obtaining Packages
Web Stack now has an IPS repository for experimental packages (the repository instructions are evolving so you may want to check my latest blog entries as well).
Filing Bugs
If you find bugs, want to record any enhancement suggestions or just review existing bugs, please see http://bugs.opensolaris.org/.
Select "solaris/utility" from the 'Category:' menu and then select the corresponding component (e.g. 'squid', 'apache', 'ruby', etc) from the 'Subcategory:' menu. For MySQL, select 'solaris/database' and then 'mysql'.
Note: The http://bugs.opensolaris.org/ interface is not currently very reliable. While it usually works, we ask that you please also send your bug reports to the mailing list, that way it will not be missed.
