OpenSolaris

Project scope

 The website project covers both the development and operations of the opensolaris.org infrastructure. The current application provides:

• user registration,
• web content management for communities and projects,
• integrated mailing lists/web fora,
• multiple source code management options for projects,
• blog aggregations.

 Additional features are being investigated or under development, to help the OpenSolaris Community collaborate and grow.

Discussions

 In addition to monitoring website-discuss, most of the team is subscribed to tools-discuss, where site issues (particularly associated with SCM hosting) also pop up.

Source code and documents

 The following source code repositories are available:

• portal
   Source of the existing application used to run the opensolaris.org website.

 To get a copy of the portal application source code, run the following command:

$ svn co svn+ssh://anon@svn.opensolaris.org/svn/website/portal 

 The repository files are copied out to a directory called portal.
