OnScreen Text

 The Onscreen text for the Starter Kit describes the labels, content, and link targets for each piece of text that appears on the first 4 tabs of the <i learn> DVD interface. We call this interface an HTML wrapper.

 The text for the wrapper includes DVD help information, Trademark and TOU description, and all other words on the screen. The layout document describes the text requirements as reviewed and specified by a writer, engineer, program leader, and marketing representative. Here is the source for the DVD layout file.

 After the text is finialized, it is delivered to the graphic designer to be incorporated into the HTML for the Starter Kit. We then reviewed the content one more time as a team, captured changes and sent them to the designer. Then, we confirmed the changes were correct in the wrapper and sent it on to the engineer for DVD mastering.

 The fifth tab of the wrapper, the Resources Tab, is an HTML file that includes links to all of the documents on the <i learn> DVD and links to all the sites and pages related to OpenSolaris and the community distributions. This file includes live links and descriptions of all the link targets.
