OpenSolaris support for the QEMU processor emulator: host and guest

Overview

The QEMU project provides community support for the open-source QEMU processor emulator. This project is dedicated to making QEMU faster and more interoperable with OpenSolaris operating systems, as a host or guest.

For End-users

Detailed instructions for setting up the QEMU emulator to run other operating systems are available on the host page. Currently x86/64 is supported; SPARC support will come next (although QEMU 0.8.2 will compile on a SPARC host out of the box).

Detailed instructions for running Solaris or OpenSolaris-based operating systems under QEMU are available on the guest page.
