Bake-a-thon (BAT) - Focusing on Draft 23

NFSv4.1 Bakeathon in Austin, TX Sep 15th - 19th, 2008

Registration is open and we need to have every person register for the event. The name of each person attending is required in order to speed the Sun campus visitation process for the week of the Bakeathon. If multiple people from the same Company/Organization are attending, it is okay to include multiple people's names in one email.

What is the NFSv4.1 Bakeathon?

An interoperability testing event where vendors active in developing to the NFSv4 minor version 1 (NFSv4.1) specification will bring their implementations to test against other vendor's implementations.

Who is invited to attend?

The NFSv4.1 Bakeathon is open to implementers of the NFSv4.1 specification.

Objectives and Non-objectives of the NFSv4.1 Bakeathon

Non-Objectives

There will not be any NFSv4 minor version 0 (NFSv4.0) testing at this event. For information about testing events which are available for testing implementations of NFSv4.0, please see the Links section below.

Objectives

This Bakeathon will specifically target implementations of NFSv4.1. It is hoped we can work through the new features of NFSv4.1, allowing implementers an opportunity to gain implementation experience and provide feedback on the NFSv4 minor version 1 draft as it makes its way thru the IETF process.

Please note that several implementors will be testing NFSv2/v3/v4 features over IPv6 at this event.
