gDesklets are a set of attractive utilities, or desklets, embedded on your desktop background. Such utilities could include weather forecasts, news tickers, system information or music player controls. The easily extensible architecture allows you to create numerous possibilities, available at a single key-press. gDesklets are not restricted to a single desktop environment, and currently work on most of the modern Unix desktops, including GNOME, KDE and XFCE.
gDesklets are now available with the latest unstable Vermillion release, that is expected to be integrated into Solaris Express post build 65.
Download and install additional desklets using the gDesklets Shell
