This project is the first the the Highlander family.  The idea is to split the crypto out of pkcs11_softtoken into a separate library, much like libmd is used for message digest operations.

This allows pkcs11_softtoken to not always use sun4u-us3 optimizations for every sparc platform and allow for x86 SSE optimizations.  The sparc platform-specific libraries will stored in /usr/platform, while x86 will use hardware CAP.

This project has been around for a while and has been worked on in varying stages by a number of developers.  With the change in source code management and modifications made to the existing pkcs11_softtoken code base, older workspaces of an incomplete libsoftcrypto could not be used easily.  So this project was starting from scratch workspace-wise.  Significant combing of the old workspaces help speed the development up.
