Project goals

The goal of Project Colorado is to provide a minimal and extensible binary distribution of Open HA Cluster (OHAC) that runs on the OpenSolaris binary distribution. This distribution of OHAC will provide basic cluster functionality with a low barrier to entry and easy deployment for OpenSolaris. Additional functionality will be provided via optional IPS packages. The intended audience is system administrators needing simple HA and developers needing an HA framework for their applications or software appliances.

• 10. July 2009 White paper "Running Open HA Cluster on OpenSolaris" update (small corrections) available.
• 01. June 2009 Open HA Cluster 2009.06 is available.
• 28. May 2009 White paper "Running Open HA Cluster on OpenSolaris" available.
• 20. May 2009 Refresh of the Colorado source available. This refresh now contains also the necessary tools to build Open HA Cluster on OpenSolaris SPARC. There are updated instructions on how to build core and agents.
• 09. April 2009 Refresh of the Colorado source available. There are updated instructions on how to build core and agents.
• 06. March 2009 Refresh of the Colorado source available. There are updated instructions on how to build core and agents. 
• 13. February 2009 design documents are now available.
• 16. October 2008 Refresh of the Colorado source available.
• 02. October 2008 Second part of the CLARC inception review, which got approved.
• 26. September 2008 First Open HA Cluster core framework source available for download which can be build with OpenSolaris 2008.X. Find more detailed instructions on the Colorado Wiki page.
• 18. September 2008 First part of the Open Cluster Architecture inception review (CLARC) for project Colorado. The second part is scheduled for 02. Oktober 2008.
• 03. September 2008 Announcement for Open Cluster Architecture inception review (CLARC) for project Colorado. It is scheduled for Thursday September 18th, at 9:00am US/Pacific time.
• 27. August 2008 Requirements published  for review.
