This project proposes to clarify the design of Caiman . It also proposes to remove unnecessary redundancies offered by multiple Caiman components along with simplifying design and architecture for Caiman.
The output of this work is expected to be a unified design for the Caiman installer engine. And, if redundant or overlapping functionality is found in areas outside the installer engine, these will be noted. Work on those areas will be outside the scope of this project.
We will produce a functional specification and a design document that will outline the additions and modifications to the Caiman source to create a unified installer engine.
