ZFS Pool Version 3

This page describes the features available with version 3 of the ZFS pool on-disk format.  This version includes support for the following features:

  • Hot spares
  • Double-parity RAID-Z (raidz2)
  • Improved RAID-Z accounting

These features are available in:

  • Nevada, build 42
  • Solaris 10 11/06 release, (build 3)
