Here's some links to benchmarks that can be used to test OpenSolaris. These benchmarks will also be available for the community to use in the forthcoming self test facility.
FileBench is a new framework for simulating applications on file systems. It's Sun developed, and is currently being used to measure the performance of ZFS, UFS, QFS and NFS. The open source project is at
[](http://sourceforge.net/projects/filebench/).
Libmicro is a portable set of benchmarks used for measuring the performance of system and library calls. For further details see the libmicro homepage at [](http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/performance/libmicro/).
Netperf is a benchmark that can be used to measure the performance of many different types of networking. It provides tests for both unidirecitonal throughput, and end-to-end latency. For further details see the netperf homepage at [](http://www.netperf.org/netperf/NetperfPage.html)
iPerf is a tcp and udp benchmark. For further details see the iPerf homepage at [](http://dast.nlanr.net/Projects/Iperf/)
