Porting Resources

Now that I started my serious porting project -- where do I get resources to compile, test and package on ?

So you finally read all the links, documents, tips etc and have done a first rough port and would now like to make it solid, test it, package it, provide it for both, i86 and SPARC but of course, since you are an OSS developer lack the resources ? There are multiple places you can ask for help at.  

Currently the options we know of are:

• Send a mail or post to the webforum of our mailing-list

• Contact the guys from the blastwave.org project, they often have cycles available for developers

• Checkout the OpenSolaris Test Farm from the test community.

• Use the Sunstudio demo server in russia, sundemo.ru, the fieldnames should be guesable

Whichever you choose, let us know of your experiences on our mailing-list and also, if you have any other ideas where we could get cycles for porters from, let us know on the mailing list.
