Java Security functionality is dealt with as part of the OpenJDK project, and the security group with in it.

There you will find many similar things to what we cover here in the OpenSolaris security community and even some bridges to that allow Java applications to directly use OpenSolaris C code, for Kerberos, Crypto, Smartcard.
