1. Apologies for yet another duplicate on this; I'm resending it to hit
    the "heads up" filter for automatic archival and external announcement.

2. Though it's not spelled out below, John is of course the Tech Lead for
    the ON Consolidation, not all of Solaris.

3. The date below (September 17) is for the transition to be comlete.
    Indeed, it's well underway, and if you're not already engaged working
    with me on an outstanding project, you'll be working with John.

4. As always, you should use gk at onnv dot eng dot sun dot com to communicate with the
    core team.  Though we're all individuals, that makes it much easier for
    you and us.

Subject: Nevada Tech Lead Announcement

I'm pleased to announce that John Beck is the new tech lead for Nevada.

For those of you who don't know John, he is a Senior Staff engineer and
he's been with Sun for over 10 years.  Noteworthy roles John has held
include: bringing Solaris' ancient, crufty version of sendmail up to the
de facto standard, Solaris 9 ON gatekeeper, a member of the Zones
development team, part of the team that designed the OpenSolaris
development process, and Network Auto-Magic project lead.

Mark J Nelson has been the tech lead for Nevada for the last 3+ years and
he will be moving to his next Solaris project. Please take a moment to
thank Mark for his hard work, dedication, commitment, and a job well done.
Thank you, Mark!!

Mark and John plan to complete the transition by September 17. Please
support them during the transition and moving forward in their new roles.
