10: This is a heads up to let you all know of an important impending change
11:   as we switch from Teamware to Mercurial.  Currently, onnv-gate has
12: multiple occurrences of user-visible SCCS keywords (%I%, %E%, etc.).
13: We’ve flagged and filed bugs for the ones that we’ve found[1].
14: Unfortunately, we (the SCM Migration project team) aren’t experts in
15: that code, and can’t know whether or not they can safely be replaced or
16: removed; what we *do* know is that when we switch to Mercurial, those
17: keywords will be visible in _unexpanded form_, so:

22: This is teh sux0r[2].  If you are responsible for any code that has user
23: visible SCCS keywords, or consume any such keywords (or have a
24: dependency in some form or another on this output), you must fix this
25: code to either eliminate or replace the use of SCCS keywords (and no,
26: Mercurial does not have an equivalent keyword feature).  If they aren’t
27: replaced, they will be carried through and left unexpanded when we
28: switch to Mercurial.

30: If the module or binary version can be determined by other means (e.g.:
31: showrev(1) output), you may simply wish to delete the keywords.

33: When a date is chosen for transitioning onnv-gate to Mercurial, we will
34: let you know so nobody is surprised.  We don’t have an exact date yet,
35: but expect it sometime in the September-October timeframe.

44: and doesn’t distinguish user-visible ones from non user-visible ones, so
45: if you see files on the list you maintain, please verify whether they
46: are user-visible or not.  You’re welcome to do both, but only user
47: visible ones *need* to be changed before the Mercurial migration.
