Heads-up: Studio 11 compiler patch update warning

Subject: Heads-up: Studio 11 compiler patch update warning

The Studio 11 compiler in /ws/onnv-tools/SUNWspro/SS11 is due
to be patched shortly. The patched version is accessible via
the path /ws/onnv-tools/SUNWspro/SS11-new. This new version
has a lint, whose performance has been greatly improved (from
hours to minutes) and so in order to reduce total build time
you may want to try out this patched compiler by setting

         SPRO_VROOT=/ws/onnv-tools/SUNWspro/SS11-new

within your nightly enviroment file.

If you are a build machine maintainer you may want to grab
a copy of this compiler before the switch. Compressed tar
balls can be gotten from the following locations:

US:
ssaesrv.sfbay:/export/tools/ha/petede

EMEA:
delano.uk:/export/compilers

and the files are:
