Howdy, folks~--

Seeing as the week of July 3 is a shutdown week in the US, and 80% of the ON
Nevada core team is based in the US, our vigilance will be somewhat more
relaxed than usual, starting Saturday, July 1, and continuing through
Sunday, July 9.

For some probably short, yet-to-be-determined part of the shutdown, the
gate machine may be unavailable for maintenance.  We will notify you when
this outage begins and ends.

During the shutdown, please, please, please, be especially careful in your
interactions with the onnv-gate.  Dot your "i's."  Cross your "t's."  Run wx
pbchk an extra time, and, what the heck, build lint on both sparc and x86
for a change.  And don't even THINK about not building those last minute
changes, or breaking the gate, because we WILL find you.

If, in spite of your best efforts, something DOES arise that demands our
attention, use the gk at onnv dot eng alias for fastest response, or pick up a
phone and start calling us.  In either case, though, please be patient if we
take a while to respond; we're trying to enjoy the shutdown just like you
SHOULD be doing...
