(Hmm... Thunderbird scoffed at my previous attempt to send this.)

If you wish to remain blissfully unaware of what's happening on your file
systems, feel free to delete this.

The putback of:

6335370 RFE: Need generic file system observability (e.g., fsstat)

introduces 'fsstat': A tool for general file system observability.

Fsstat reports file (vnode) operations activity at the mount-point level
as well as a filesystem-type level. Different options display different
views (e.g., -n shows naming operations, -i shows I/O operations, etc.).
It also includes a display suitable for parsing (-P).

The fsstat(1M) man page will be integrated later this week. Here's a
pointer to a preliminary copy: http://fs.central/~rsb/fsstat.1m.text

Rants and raves to me. Bugs against fsstat(1m) should be submitted
against utility/filesystem. Bugs against the collection mechanism
should be submitted against kernel/fs.

Good night, all!

	Rich
