Subject: Heads up: Boston/Seattle platform support

This heads-up announces that support for the Boston and Seattle
platforms is now in Nevada. These platforms are the follow-on products
for the Sun Fire V440 and V210/V240 servers, and use the sun4u kernel
architecture, UltraSPARC-IIIi+ CPUs, and the PCI-Express IO system. The
new platforms' uname -i values are SUNW,Sun-Fire-V445, for Boston;
SUNW,Sun-Fire-V215, for the 1u variant of Seattle; and
SUNW,Sun-Fire-V245, for the 2u variant of Seattle.

This putback is platform specific, and should only impact the Boston
and Seattle platforms.

Projects modifying their code impacting sun4u platforms also need to
test their code on a Boston or Seattle platform. To get access to a
system, please send your request via email as follows:

To: bos-sea-access-request at sun dot com
	Subject: Need Boston/Seattle system access

Please note that Solaris bugs that are specific to this platform must be
filed under

         Product: fiesta-pcie
	Category: seabos
	Subcategory: solaris

Please be certain to include sun4u_boston and/or sun4u_seattle as
appropriate in the Hardware field of your bug's SR.

If you have any questions or comments, please send mail to
bos-sea-sw-interest at sun dot com.

Thank you,

Boston/Seattle Solaris Team
