Subject: Heads-up: "backend is read-only" errors

My 8/23/05 putback of:

6255078 SMF shouldn't modify /etc files unnecessarily

can cause unexpected "backend is read-only" errors from svccfg(1M) and
svcadm(1M) on systems where the /lib/svc/bin/restore_repository script has
been used. Today's putback of:

6319113 part of 6255078 destructively interferes with restore_repository
    behavior

fixes this problem; until archives with these changes are available, you
can work around the problem by doing:

	# chmod u+w /etc/svc/repository.db

which will allow you to make changes again.

Apologies for the breakage,
- jonathan
