1* The final deadline for all nominations and acceptances to be received and recorded in the mail archive at ogb-discuss@opensolaris.org was 23:59 US/Pacific on Monday, March 2, 2009.

1* A list of nominations appears below.
  3. New Constitution
1* The OGB has noted all the comments made publicly and privately and has now published the final proposal for the new Constitution at http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/ogb/elections/2009/Constitution_Proposal/.
1* We believe this new document simplifies and clarifies the community governance to match our actual practice and realistic expectations.
1* The new Constitution, if adopted, would also require changes to the Charter. The OGB has sought, and Sun has granted, leave to make suitable changes to the Charter once the new Constitution is adopted. This would be the first task for the new OGB. A list of potential changes can be found on the wiki.
  4. Meeting of Members
1* Under the terms of the existing Constitution, we have to gather a quorum of the voting membership on irc://irc.freenode.net/#opensolaris-meeting from noon US/Pacific on Thursday, February 27th.
1* Please log in to the IRC channel and announce yourself in the format "Hello, I am <//your name//> and an OpenSolaris Core Contributor. My OpenSolaris ID is <//your ID//>.
    "
1* There is a bot monitoring the channel and recording these announcements as well as all channel discussion (logs)
1* All comments made after the start of the meeting will be recorded by the bot as minutes of the meeting.
1* Feel free to use the IRC channel to ask, or indeed answer, any questions about the election. The current OGB will be present as a minimum between 15:00 and 16:00 US/Pacific on Wednesday, March 4th. They can be identified as channel operators on the IRC channel.
