This community is to aid Internationalization (i18n) and Localization (l10n) of OpenSolaris software components. By participating in this community, together, we will be able to make OpenSolaris to speak your languages and cultural conventions even better.
I18n is a way of designing and producing software that can be easily adapted to any regions of the world. Internationalized software can be localized or adapted to different languages and cultures with minimal effort. To be a bit more formal on the definitions:

We are currently actively forming the community and working on the structure. We are also looking for participants and also group leaders and global coordinators!
