Translation Guide for Open High Availability Cluster Pages

Have you experienced difficulty reading and understanding the English contents of this area, especially the technical aspects?

Open High Availability Cluster (OHAC) is a great contribution to the open source world. Information that everyone contributes to this space is increasing all the time. Wouldn't it be great if we could all share the translated contents of these pages? Translated contents would help us reach more people in their native tongue. As a result, we could reach more and more people.

If you are interested in translating the contents of OHAC pages, contact us through the OHAC alias at ha-clusters-discuss@opensolaris.org.

In this document, we describe the high level translation process. At present, we don't have a fixed process or guidelines. We would love to hear from you to discuss this situation further on the ha-clusters-discuss@opensolaris.org alias.

  1. Complete the OCA - Oracle Contributor Agreement.
You need to complete the OCA before you contribute content under OpenSolaris.
  2. Decide which pages that you want to translate.
  3. Notify everyone that you are starting translation by sending an electronic mail message to the ha-clusters-discuss@opensolaris.org alias.
  4. Start translating.
When you translate, keep the following guidelines in mind:
1* If you have questions about style, use this Style Guide.
    1* Use UTF-8 encoding.
1* Use the glossary tool SunGloss.
1* Add the last modified date at the bottom of the translated page.
  5. When you're finished translating a page or a set of pages, notify and send the translated page or pages to the alias to get comments.

About TM (Translation Memory) Tools

To track the contents of, and translate, a page, use the following translation memory tools. These tools keep English and native message pairs. When the English contents are updated, you can show the updated part and merge your previous translation with these tools.
