Description:

Xdown4scpc is a multi-thread GUI download tool for Unix-Like OS. This
program has beed compiled and tested in a Solaris system, while it also
support other Unix-Like systems, say Linux. For running it under other
OS, modifying the Makefile is necessary.

Main features:
*Support to FTP and HTTP protocols.
*Support to multi-thread download.
*Support to resume a failed downloading task from the interrupted point.
*Friendly GUI(graphical user interface) with Gtk+.

Usage:
*Fill the Uniform Resource Identifier of the resource which you want to download in the "URI" box. The Uniform Resource Identifier looks like the

following examples:
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.6/linux-2.6.20.tar.bz2
ftp://ftp.tsinghua.edu.cn/OS/Linux/kernel.org/linux/kernel/v2.6/linux-2.6.
20.tar.gz

If needed, fill the user name and password in the "User Name" and "Password"
box respectively.

*Choose a number in the "Thread Number for Task" spin box which means how
many threads you want to use for this downloading task.
*Click the "Start" button to start the task.
Notice: The "Thread Number for Task" may be adjusted automatically without any
notice due to the author's some consideration like efficiency.
What's more, you also may be able to request more than one task at the same
time by repeat the above step.
