The OpenSolaris Charter

 On Wednesday February 8th 2006, the OpenSolaris Community Advisory Board approved The OpenSolaris Charter. On Friday February 10th 2006, Sun Microsystems also approved the Charter. The OpenSolaris Charter establishes the OpenSolaris Governing Board (OGB), grants powers to the OGB, and assigns to the OGB an initial membership (the members of the CAB) until new elections can be held. The OGB is currently drafting the OpenSolaris Constitution that is specified in the Charter.
