Architecture Review Community Responsibilities

Topics that are in scope for ARCs

• Provide a formal forum for the discussion and resolution of architectural issues.
• Discovery and characterization of architectural issues, and relationships between projects in particular.
• Identify duplication of effort across communities.
• Promote positive architectural changes by identifying dead-ends, point products, and unnecessary modifications.
• Ensure that a description of each engineering project exists and provide a formal archive for this information.
• Provide project teams with access to senior technical people from multiple disciplines.
• Foster communication between different project groups and communities.
• Provide architectural input/feedback to the various communities and to the CAB.
• Clarification and articulation of architectures
