Welcome to the OpenSolaris Approachability community.  What's this community about?  Well, let's start with the definition of "approachable": Easy to talk to or deal with; friendly.  These are attributes we'd like OpenSolaris to exemplify, in the same way that it already exemplifies reliability, predictability, or performance.  We think it's important, because an approachable OpenSolaris will enable developers and customers to use OpenSolaris more easily, and that can only help us grow the OpenSolaris community.

Unlike some of the other communities on OpenSolaris, we're not devoted to a specific technology or technology sector - we're interested in approachability problems whereever they might occur, because in many cases the issues span technologies and can only be resolved by thinking about the system across our usual technology boundaries.  You'll see content here, now and in the future, which spans networking, file-systems, I/O technologies, installation, user interfaces, and other areas of the system.
