Graphics July 2006

Community Contributed Home Page Graphics  

We've concluded our first year. We've celebrated our anniversary. Now we need a new graphic banner for the home page. Anyone who would like to contribute artwork can by sending it in email to website DASH discuss AT opensolaris.org. (Please move this entire conversation over to that list).

All submissions must be in by Monday August 7th. Selections will be made by the web team on Tuesday August 8th and posted by Wednesday August 9th.

The only things that we request of any submission:
- is your own original artwork to avoid any possible copyright issues  
- doesn't contain anyone else's trademarks
- is granted exclusively to OpenSolaris.org, we'd hate to see it anywhere else  
- contains the OpenSolaris wordmark colors (Orange: #E76F00, Blue: #5382A1)  
- is no bigger than: 500x 200 pixels  
- does NOT contain the OpenSolaris wordmark (since it's right above the graphic on the top left of the page, it would look odd if it were in the graphic as well)  
- is in PNG, GIF or JPG formats

New artwork will be up from 6 - 12 months or, if we have a lot of submissions, we can circulate them.  

When we opened on June 14, 2005, we had this graphic on our home page:
